    Latest Tortani Kennels News

03 May 2009
----------------

Hello to one and all once again!

This is becoming a regular occurrence again with a News letter 3 weeks in a row.

First of all we must get into the Footy news, with me just reminding all CROWS supporters, that they lost AGAIN and AGAINST the Power !!!

The week has continued with topsy turvey results etc keeping on coming up.

Tuesday we had SECOND EDITION fixing up GLOBAL FURY in a 643M Gr3/4/5. Just have to mention that owner ALFIE of SECOND EDITION, had a big punt on GLOBAL FURY and guess what happens - SE fixed him up good and proper - GF was very disappointing but subsequent checks have revealed no injury.

Unfortunately we had more of a disaster later in the arvo with TRIPLE DISTILLED falling on the first corner when he was vying for the lead - after doing a number of somersaults it looked bad. Checks later found that the dog has broken a shoulder - however it looks as if his career is over although we may progress with getting him back to the track. He has been a good moneyspinner for connections with 32 returns from 36 races.

The week continue badly with BOSLEY scratched from Wed with a virus and yours truly thinking FURIOUS TREV was a cert from the pole. He has had 4 starts from box 2 for 4 wins so we thought he was a bird. However he ran a poor 4th but again he had excuses with a FIBULA injury.

Runners this week will be very thin with FURIOUS TREV and also BRAZILIAN being injured in trials during the week having to be scratched. We have just the two in on MONDAY - SECOND EDITION and WEST ORANGE WAL. Tuesday we have just the one left - ENDEAVOUR returning from 4 months of injury. Best wishes to the MALLEE BOYS with this one its been a long wait.

We also trialled a few this morning down the straight - all coming back from injury or sickness - All came through well - OLIVER SUDDEN, WESTCOAST RED, BOSLEY, GLOBAL FURY and BULLSWOOL.

Another few trials and some of these will hit the track once again. At present we have about 6 able to race out of 20 dogs in work - frustrations !!!!

Thats about all for this week
Good punting,
Con
